Theatrical Outfit’s production of Ken Ludwig’s BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK HOLMES MYSTERY (directed by Shannon Eubanks) is a fast-pace and humorous play that takes audiences from England’s Baker Street to the haunted Dartmoor.

Essential Theatre is presenting its 21st Festival with the world premieres of three plays and four staged reading all by Georgia playwrights. "Slaying Holofernes", by Emily McClain, directed by Peter Hardy, opens Friday, July 26, 2019 at 8pm at the West End Performing Arts Center. "Baby Shower for the Antichrist", by Ben Thorpe, directed by Shannon Eubanks, opens Friday, August 2, 2019 at 8pm at the same venue.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, continues its string of successful comedies from Atlanta playwright Topher Payne with the premiere of Greetings Friend Your Kind Assistance Is Required. The production runs January 5th through 22nd, 2017 at the theatre's home in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Veteran Atlanta director and actor Shannon Eubanks will be reunited with playwright Payne to once again direct his latest comedy. Sponsorship for this production is graciously provided by the Robert W. Hagan Family Foundation.

Recently, I had the opportunity to chat with Atlanta playwright Topher Payne about his new show, Greetings Friend Your Kind Assistance is Required, premiering at Georgia Ensemble Theater on January 5 and running through the 22nd. A fun and quirky guy, Topher was a delight to talk to, and I'm looking forward to seeing what kinds of conversations Greetings Friend Your Kind Assistance is Required will spark.
