Jen MacQueen to Choreograph THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at Milton, 3/14-17 by BWW News Desk (Jan. 24 4:34 PM) - Rehearsals have begun at Milton High School for their production of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. This show will perform March 14-17, directed by Renee Denney and music directed by Leigh Ann Shaw. The cast is full of experienced high schoolers, some of whom also appeared in Milton's successful production of HAIRSPRAY in spring 2011. It will feature choreography by the Off-Broadway choreographer and acclaimed tap dancer Jen MacQueen, who choreographed the recent Atlanta production of A Chorus Line at Aurora Theatre, for which she received a BroadwayWorld (Atlanta) Award Nomination for Best Choreography in a Musical. |

Atlanta Ballet Premieres Twyla Tharp's THE PRINCESS AND THE GOBLIN, 2/10-19 by BWW News Desk (Jan. 19 6:53 PM) - Twyla Tharp’s “The Princess and the Goblin” will receive its world premiere by Atlanta Ballet, February 10-19, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta. The full evening ballet, choreographed for young and adult audiences, is a co-commission between Atlanta Ballet and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. |
