Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Michael Stotts- Managing Director) has announced the cast and creative team for Sister Act with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner, and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane, based on the Touchstone Pictures Motion Picture Sister Act written by Joseph Howard.

The Groundlings' latest Friday/Saturday night show GROUNDLINGS BAR FIGHT opens Valentine's February 14, 2020. Deanna Oliver, will be oh, so lovingly corralling and directing a talented troupe of eleven Groundlings as they tickle our funny bones with their fresh and funny BAR FIGHT sketches. A Groundlings alumni of 40+ years, Deanna managed to take some time out from rehearsals and teaching at The Groundlings School to answer a few of my quizzical queries.

For the final show of the 2018-2019 season, The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Sister Act, the feel- good musical comedy based on the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg . Sister Act earned five Tony Award nominations in 2011 including Best Musical Score with music by Alen Menkin (Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid) and lyrics by Glen Slater (The Little Mermaid).Sister Act was also nominated for Best Book of a Musical written by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner (Cheers) and Douglas Carter Beane(Xanadu and The Little Dog Laughed). Sister Act is directed by Brian Walsh with musical direction by Ryan Goulden and choreography by Emma Bradley Dingle. Tickets are available online at www.pcstheater.org.
