Constellations day seats/returns?
Posted: 12/31/12 at 08:51am
Does anyone know if there are day seats/returns available for Constellations? It closes this week and I foolishly didn't see it early on. I would guess that a single seat wouldn't be too hard to come by, even though the website shows that all performances have sold out. Anyone know anything?

There are day seats - first two rows. Only row B is okay. Row A is almost under the stage - the view is surreal. It's listed as restricted view and it is. Ten pounds. Get there early.

On the other hand - having second thoughts - it's such a wonderful play that if only row A is available I would take it. You will be in despair until the show begins but then you will find that virtually the whole thing is played downstage so you will see everything - it will just be from an absurd angle.

Whatever you do, do NOT miss out on seeing this show. It was one of my top theatre highlights of 2012, a beautiful, clever, funny and moving play

You should have a good chance of getting a day seat.

They've scheduled an extra matinee for Friday afternoon if that helps.

I went down to the theatre on my lunchbreak and they had absolutely nothing If I were young enough to be free to dayseat I'd try, but alas those days are behind me, and there's no way I can get Friday off at this short notice.

I'll buy the script. I'm not used to trying to get tickets to something that's properly successful

Wow that surprises me, the whole run is now sold out?

I got a day seat roughly about 4pm when I went.

I guess people are taking advantage the last few chances to see the play.

Apparently the performance they've added for this afternoon is being filmed. I'm not sure if/how it will be seen but worth keeping a look out for, in case you're unable to see it.

The text is worth reading. Bear in mind the play is fast moving between scenes and as rich as the text is, it's deliberately repetitive.

Thanks for encouraging me to go, all! Got a return this afternoon centre stalls. Absolutely loved the play and the performances, one of the best new plays I've seen in years. I'm so, so glad I didn't miss it. The house was packed!

Fantastic!! Good to hear you got to see it. I agree it's one of the best new plays I've seen too, a really original, thoughtful, clever, funny and moving play with two stunning performances.

Great to see this sort of play thriving in the West End.

Phantom, yes I reckon it'll be a leading contender. It's already bagged the Evening Standard Best New Play award

Rafe Spall was interviewed on the radio earlier and said they're likely to be taking the show to Broadway
