After a SOLD OUT premiere on January 3rd, "NO Soliciting" is now extended January 18th-24th (7:30pm) at Atlanta's historic Plaza Theater.
No Soliciting is about the thirty-something office worker "Dan Wood" (Ryan Lewis) who is forced to move back in with his mother "Norma" (Bobbie Elzey) after losing his job and getting dumped by his girlfriend. Dan resorts to a door-to-door sales job and meets the womanizing "Tommy" (Grant McGowen) and discovers new possibilities for his life.
Director and Writer Will Dove, who also stars in the film as the dimwitted party boy Harry, takes his personal experiences as a door-to-door salesman to inspire his latest film that features all local talent and filmed entirely in Atlanta. Dove recalls about his old job, "Everyone hates you. Even before you speak. And yet your livelihood hinges on selling them something that they probably don't need or even want." Dove had success producing his pilot sitcom "Brohan" this past year, and on occasion, can be seen doing stand up around town.
"No Soliciting" also stars new comers Rahmell Peebles as "Gerald" and Katie Graham as "Tara" and features almost sixty local performers. Employing a "guerrilla style" of minimal lighting, and maximum outside exposure to capture a naturalistic raw feeling, the ^&@M (pronounced "up-and-at-em") feature is likely to move onto other cities in national and international festivals.
